General terms and conditions for donations from 1.5.2026 and information about payment methods.

Single donation

The funds from the one-time donations will be allocated to UNICEF's work as described in more detail in connection with the collection. The target can be either the General Children's Fund or an individual country or region where UNICEF works for children.

UNICEF Finland may store the donor's information in connection with the donation for later customer communication. More information about the use of personal data can be found here.

Monthly donation

A monthly donation is a continuous, indefinite agreement in which the donor undertakes to support the world's children with an agreed amount each month.

The funds will be used to fund and implement UNICEF's long-term and global children's rights and development programmes and emergency relief.

The donation will be charged to the payment method chosen by the donor (e.g. e-invoice, direct payment, recurring payment card or MobilePay payment) on a monthly basis. If the charge is not successful on the agreed date, we can try the charge again. The donor can change the debit date at any time by contacting UNICEF Finland's customer service.

The donation amount is selected when joining. The donor can change the amount if they wish by contacting UNICEF Finland's customer service. UNICEF Finland has the right to increase the amount of regular donations from time to time in accordance with the increase in the general cost level by prior written notice to donors. Donors have the right to refuse the increase.

The donation agreement is valid until further notice. It can be terminated by contacting UNICEF Finland's customer service.

UNICEF Finland stores the donor's contact information for the purpose of initiating and maintaining the monthly donation, providing customer service and communications, and investigating any errors related to the donation. 

Specific information and conditions related to different payment methods

Monthly card payment

The donation will be deducted from the customer's card monthly according to the registration date. The donation will appear on the invoice or bank statement no later than the next banking day. If the card debit process is not successful on the specified date, we will try again after seven (7) days.

The donor can change the billing date at any time by contacting UNICEF Finland's customer service.

When the card is changed, we will send the donor a link to the email address they have provided, through which they can update the information about the new card.

UNICEF Finland does not process or store the donor's card number at any time. Nets guarantees the security of card payments with a PCI DSS certified system (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard).

Mobilepay Terms of Use

Recurring payments made with Mobilepay are subject to Mobilepay's terms of use.
