The learning crisis needs system-level changes.

The learning crisis requires effective and scalable solutions

More and more children can go to school, but a large proportion do not learn the basic skills needed there. The situation is particularly challenging in sub-Saharan Africa.

The global learning crisis has significant and long-term negative consequences for both children and the future of entire societies. Investing in learning can significantly reduce regional poverty and inequality and increase economic growth.

Systemic changes are needed to resolve the situation.

According to Bo Viktor Nylund, Director of Innocenti, the private sector plays an important role in solving the learning crisis.

Supporting the Every Child Learning Initiative

Free and equal education is the cornerstone of Nordic society. We are proud to partner with UNICEF across the Nordic region to accelerate every child's learning.
